Loan Programs
The following loans are available to finance your education. The information
is a brief summary only; each loan's terms or conditions may change. You must
contact each organization for specific, up-to-date information and to apply.
P.L.A.T.O. - Telephone 800-GO-PLATO
| Criteria |
U.S. Citizen or permanent resident; have verifiable annual
income; good and established credit; not filed bankruptcy with past 7 years. |
| Minimum/Maximum to Borrow |
$1,500 - $25,000 per school year. |
| Interest |
Variable, based upon a tiered credit rating. An origination
fee is included in the loan. |
| Repayment Terms |
Payments begin 30 days after check disbursement. You may repay
interest only while in school and begin principal repayment six months after
you complete the program. Up to 20 years to repay. |
| Additional Information |
You can be pre-quailfied prior to acceptance. Once pre-qualified,
a completed application will be mailed to you. Once approved, funds are
dispersed within 24 hours. |
WELLS FARGO - Telephone 877-255-2431
| Criteria |
U.S. Citizen or permanent resident; have verifiable annual
income; good and established credit. Students enrolled full time, half time,
or less than half time. International students with credit-worthy U.S. citizen
co-applicant. |

$1,000 - $20,000 per school year. |
| Interest |
Variable based upon tiered credit rating. Interest-only
payments for up to 48 months. |
| Repayment Terms |
Payments begin after completion of program, student must pay
interest monthly while attending classes. |

You may be pre-qualified prior to acceptance. Once pre-qualified,
a completed application will be mailed to you. |

| Criteria |
U.S. citizen; have verifiable income; 2 years unsecured credit
in good standing. |
| Minimum/Maximum to Borrow |
$1,000 - 60% above the tuition (approx. $7,990). |
| Interest |
Variable, based upon a tiered credit rating. |
| Repayment Terms |
You may repay interest only while in school and begin principal repayment after you complete the program. Up to 15 years to repay. |
| *Program enrollment period extending beyond 12 months. |
*Two loan disbursement checks will be issued to students for enrollment beyond a 12 month period. The multiple loan disbursement policy results in an initial lower monthly payment. |
| Additional Information |
You must be accepted into the program prior to applying for
this loan. Once accepted, submit the completed application to the Paralegal
Studies Program and Financial Planning office. |
KEY CAREER LOAN - Telephone 800-KEY-LEND
| Criteria |
Show stability of income, U.S. resident; possess established,
satisfactory credit history, have a minimum gross income of $18,000; assets
and net worth also considered. |
| Minimum/Maximum to Borrow |
$1,000 - $15,000 |
| Interest |
Variable, adjusted quarterly, set to the 13 week Treasury
Bill plus 4.75%. A loan fee of 5% is added to each disbursement. |
| Repayment Terms |
Payment begins within 30 days of disbursement, minimum $50
per month. Up to 15 years to repay. |

You must be accepted into the program prior to applying for
this loan. |
RISLA - Rhode Island Student Loan - Telephone 1-800-758-7562
| Criteria |
Students must be credit-worthy otherwise a co-borrower would
be necessary. At least one person on the loan must be a U.S. Citizen or
Certified Permanent Resident of the United States. |
| Minimum/Maximum to Borrow |
1,000 per year- Up to the cost of attendance less any other
financial aid received. |
| Interest |
The interest rate is variable based on the Prime
Rate published in the Wall Street Journal. |
| Repayment Terms |
Repayment begins six (6) months after the student leaves school.
Graduate Students must be enrolled at least half-time to have this loan
deferred while they are in school. |

Other Financial Options There may be other financial options available
to you. Students are advised to consult their local banks, the credit union
at their place of employment, and the FDU Credit Union. Students must be accepted
into the program to be eligible for membership into the FDU Credit Union. For
